This time, we construct a triangle by SAS:  two side lengths and the included angle.

 

Construct a triangle with two sides of length 3 and 5 and an included angle of 45°. The direction of one of the sides (AB) is given.

If you need some help, the solution is below.

  • First construct two fixed circles around A with radii 5 and 3. Use the  Circle tool.
  • Construct the point B at the intersection between the 5-circle and line AB, using the "Point" tool point.
  • Create a fixed angle of 45° at A on AB, using the  Angle with fixed size tool. Click point B, then point A, and then somewhere close to point C. Type "45" in the Size box.
  • Finally, create the point C.
