In order to inscribe a circle in a triangle, we will need to construct angle bisectors.

Construct the angle bisector using only the circle and the line tool. If you get stuck, you may reload the page with the Reload button.

Several circles are required for this construction. It is possible to make the circles appear as arcs. This makes the construction much clearer. You can make circles appear as arcs as follows:

  • Using the Color button, select the color Green.
  • Use the Circle tool to make a green circle centered at the angle's vertex and containing one of the two points on the two black rays.
  • Create two points on the circle on either side of the point of intersection between circle and ray.
  • Right click on the circle. The dialog box appears.
  • Click on "Set Arc" at bottom left of the dialog box. The dialog box disappears.
  • Now click on the two points you have just created. The circle will disappear, and only the arc will remain.
  • To make the arc's endpoints disappear, right click on one of the endpoints, then select the "Hide Objects" tool. Repeat for the second endpoint.
